Foundation 2025

Choosing the right school for your child can be a difficult decision. Ivanhoe East Primary is offering a variety of opportunities for you to explore our community and get a deeper understanding in what Foundation would look like for your child. You are welcome to join!

Parent Open Morning - Foundation 2025
The open morning allows you to come into our Foundation classrooms, observe our teaching and approaches in a variety of subjects including mathematics, writing, fine motor and inquiry. Meeting at the office on Warncliffe Road, our Principal, Tom Boyle will tour you around the Foundation area so that you can gain greater insight about what school at IEPS would look like for your child in 2025. The two dates available for this are:
• March 12th – 9:30-10:30am
• March 25th – 9:30-10:30am
If you would like to participate in the open morning, please sign up by going to the Enrolments - Book a Tour tab.

Pre-Foundation Session - Foundation 2025
The Pre-Foundation transitions are an optional program, where the students have the opportunity to come and spend some time in the Foundation classrooms with the current Foundation teachers. This is all about making your child feel comfortable in the new environment. It gives them the opportunity to meet the teachers, make new friends, explore the school and feel more confident about starting school. This program is in addition to the formal government approved Foundation transitions during term 4.

On these dates we ask that you be prompt on your arrival through the gates at Warncliffe Road, and meet at the large ‘Friendship Tree’ in the middle of the courtyard for your child to be signed in. Once your child moves into their activity with their teacher, leadership will be available to answer any questions you have about our school and then you are free to come and pick up your child at the end of the hour.
• April 26th – 9:30-10:30am
• May 17th – 9:30-10:30am
• June 7th – 9:30-10:30am

Parent Information Evening - Foundation 2025
We invite parents and guardians into the school for us to give you a deeper understanding of our school philosophy, routines and expectations. This night allows you to learn more about our school community and ask any questions that you have.
• June 26th – 6:30-7:30pm

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to email or call the office between 8.00 am – 4.00 pm M-F on 94992171
