The parent community at Ivanhoe East is very important to our school and we encourage parental participation. Children's success in education is a direct result of the working relationship between teachers, parents and students.
- Help in the classrooms
- Attend curriculum and other information nights
- Attend Monday morning assemblies
- Volunteer for working bees, excursions and fundraising activities
- Become involved with various committees
- Attend parent/teacher interviews
At home our parents are encouraged to -
- Read the weekly Bulletin
- Listen to children read and be aware of homework requirements
- Talk to children about school
- Organise an interview if there are concerns
