Information for those taking swimming

The Swimming Program is conducted by certified swimming instructors at the Ivanhoe Aquatic Centre, Waterdale Road Ivanhoe. The program runs on Wednesday mornings throughout the year, with each grade doing the program for ten weeks in one term.

Could you please make sure :

• Your child has a strong swimming bag large enough to carry his/her shoes, clothes and towel.
• All towels, goggles, bags and clothing is named
• The shoes and clothes your child wears to swimming are easy to take off and put on.
• If your child needs ear plugs, etc. remind them to tell his/her teacher so this can be supervised.
• Please send along playlunch and a drink on swimming days.
• Long hair needs to be tied back for swimming lessons, or it is a good idea for children to wear caps.
• Have your child bring along a woolly hat to wear back from swimming.

We require parents to accompany us on the bus each week and more to assist at the pool in dressing the children after each lesson.
